what we offer

We offer government-funded places for children aged 9 months through to school-age. Government funding covers core care hours but excludes things such as meals, snacks, nappies, wipes, creams, sun creams, digital tools, extra hours and additional activities. It is important to understand that government funding is not intended to cover the full cost of childcare. Funding is available for eligible children starting the term following their 2 or 3 birthday or the date they turn 9 months old, in line with when parents return to work. We offer the
following option for families accessing government funding:

Our stretched funded hours are distributed evenly across 50 weeks of the year, rather than condensed into term-time only.
Our standard funding offer is only an option with our funded hours package and can only be used with universal funding during term time only.
Parents must provide an eligibility code to access funding beyond the universal offer. This must be renewed using the gov.uk website every 3 months to continue accessing the expanded funded hours.

tax free childcare

This is the government scheme which had replaced the Childcare Voucher Scheme. If you look at this website www.childcarechoices.gov.uk you will be able to check your eligibility to claim through this scheme.  For every £8.00 you pay into the scheme, the government will add £2.00 up to a maximum claim of £2000 per child.

CHILD TAX CREDITS

By visiting  Child Tax Credit: Overview – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) you will be able to establish if you can claim child tax credits, or call the helpline on 0845 300 3900.  There are criteria that need to be met in order to claim tax credits, to do with salary and hours worked, and the information on this is available on the above website.

childcare voucher scheme

Woodhams Farm Day Nursery will accept any of the childcare voucher schemes that are running, so if your employer operates such a benefit, you can save Tax and National Insurance.

If you choose to have some of your salary paid as either paper or electronic childcare vouchers (up to £55 per week or £243 a month), you don’t pay tax or NICs on that amount, so your remaining wages are greater after paying for your childcare with vouchers than if you had been paid in cash.

PUPIL PREMIUM FUNDS

EYPP is determined by the benefits a family is receiving, or if the child is looked after by a local authority. Three- and four-year-old children attending an early years education setting may be eligible to receive Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP). Providers could claim an additional 68p per hour for each child eligible. This can support their development, learning and care. DISABILITY LIVING ALLOWANCE

Disability Living Allowance (DLA) is a tax-free benefit for disabled people who need help with mobility or care costs.
You can claim DLA if you:

  • are under 16
  • were born after 8 April 1948 and you make a claim in the same year you stopped receiving DLA
